My constantly changing list of goals to accomplish before I kick it are …

Personal Goals

  • Paragliding license
  • Private pilots license
  • Commercial pilots license
  • Fly for a living for at least year
  • Move to more of a LIP life style like the guys here, here or here.
  • Get a Degree
  • Scuba license
  • Learn to power kite
  • Learn to kite buggy
  • Climb a mountain over 20,000ft
  • Skydive
  • Build a UAV from scratch
  • Base jump – with a wing suit
  • Learn to speak fluent: French / Spanish
  • Take a Thai cooking course in Thailand
  • Learn to shoot good photographs / Photography course
  • Kayak with Orca whales
  • Build a ‘techno-eco-house’
  • Grow a *perfectly* straight carrot
  • Run the London marathon
  • Learn the piano
  • Live in at least 4 different countries for at least 2 months within a year
  • Speed ride on snow
  • Spend at least 1 year volunteering
  • Learn to sail & get a Yachtmasters
  • Learn to play the piano (18/01/12)
  • Experience ZeroG (

  • Machu Piccu / Andes
  • Northern Lights
  • Stand on Preachers Rock, Norway
  • Walk the great wall of China
  • Drive the entire Route 66 (old if possible)
  • See the curvature of the earth (this means being @ 70,000ft +)
  • Dive the Great Barrier Reef
  • Spend a year around southern France & Italy
  • Cross a desert
  • Hike in the Valley of the Ten Peaks, Canada
  • Visit Iceland
  • Travel Australia & New Zealand for at least a year
  • See the Grand Canyon & Colorado Plateau, Arizona
  • Visit either of earths poles
  • Watch a Spacecraft take off
  • See the Nazca lines
  • Go to this restaurant
  • Visit Yellowstone National Park
  • Go to Bhutan for at least a week
  • See the San Diego Red Tide

Work & Money

  • Create a web app that attracts over 10k users
  • Become debt free
  • Have a site / app I’ve created bought out
  • Earn at least £5k per month for 12 months

  1. You have a very cool bucket list. I had to look up “LIP” as I hadn’t heard of that. I don’t know that I could go for that, but I wish you success with it.

    I definitely want to be debt free some day. I’m working on that and making progress, but like everything else, it never happens as fast as we’d like it to. Par for the course, I guess.

    I may have to make up a new bucket list of my own, although mine probably wouldn’t be nearly as interesting.
